World Championships Shotgun (Osijek): Diana Bacosi wins gold in skeet event

As for the Senior Division of the Clay Target Shooting World Championships, the women's individual skeet final brings contentment and satisfaction to Italy and to our Gemini team. On the platforms in Osijek (Croatia), a matchless Diana Bacosi is awarded the Champion title besides that sealing the pass to Paris 2024.

An unforgettable feat achieved by the Italian Army athlete wearing the national blue vest. After reaching the qualification for the semifinal with the dorsal number six and the score of 121/125 (+3) hence advancing to the final with a the score of 28/30, the athlete shows off her best skills so as to fulfill a performance that until then has already proved brilliant. In the medal match the Italian athlete prevails over the British Amber Hill at an ealy stage with the score of 37/38, therefore Golden Hit is declared. Indeed the opponent could have done nothing to close the gap. Diana thus climbs onto the the highest step of the podium, wearing a much sought-after gold medal around her neck and attaining the title of World Champion for the second time.
With this performance the shooter grasps also a qualifying for the Italian team place to compete at the Olympics.
To complete the podium the American Samantha Simonton finishes third hitting a 24 out of 30.


What can we say: reigning Olympic silver medalist, gold at Rio 2016, with this victory the second world title after the one obtained in her homeland at the 2019 Lonato edition: the shooter relying on our skeet chokes boasts an enviable palmarès.
