ISSF World Cup 2023 (Rabat): It’s a Gemini double victory in the men's trap!

2023 has only just begun and already the medals are coming in for the shooters who use our chokes! The first challenges of the year are taking place on the fields of Rabat (Morocco), where the best athletes are competing in the first stage of the World Cup.

And the good news begins to arrive immediately! In fact, two medals were won in the men's individual trap competition by our 'celebrated' shooters: Matthew John Coward-Holley and David Kostelecky.
The two found themselves going up against each other for the gold medal. On one side the experienced Briton Coward-Holley, bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics and winner at the World Championships in Lonato 2019, on the other the Tokyo runner-up and Beijing 2008 gold medalist David Kostelecky.
In a final full of twists and turns and strong emotions, it was the Briton who won the most important medal with a score of 32-31 out of the 35 targets available, thus beating the Czech.

Our warmest congratulations go to both. It is always exciting to see shooters from our big Family on the podium, even in 'internal' challenges like these.
A new year but the same results: if well begun is half done, then a promising year lies ahead for Gemini and all its shooters!
